Atlantic College required new design proposals for accommodation buildings to house its international student community on the South Wales coast. Our design reflects the college ethos of celebrating cultural diversity. The design incorporates symbolic elements in parts of the building, which contribute to the legibility of the complex, creating a particular identity for each wing. The buildings are carefully sited to minimise impact on the beautiful location, whilst taking advantage of the coastal outlook. Internally the dormitories provide a number of configurations of living spaces to suit students of different stages as well as adapting to accommodate delegates for conferences.
