Concept House

Concept House, 1998.

This design re-imagines the terrace house for the future. The front,street elevation, is effectively a billboard advertising space that earns revenue for the owner of the house. Behind this screen frontage a basic layout can be added to and modified over time to include additional bedrooms, study spaces, home offices, winter gardens and balconies.

The design looked at how to incorporate versatility and adaptability into the traditional terrace home. It also aimed to be a sustainable model for future development.

The design was a runner up in the 1998 Concept House competition.
