Offices for McKinsey, Berlin, 2002.

FAT were placed first in an invited competition to redesign international management consultants McKinsey's Berlin offices. Our design took as its starting point a radical approach to the office's working culture by conceiving of the interior as a miniature city. 'Squares', 'Piazzas' and 'parks' provided public spaces where employees could meet, chat and exchange ideas. Work spaces were housed in a colourful variety of different 'buildings' which gave the various teams within the office a strong visual identity.
