New Civic

The New Civic, Kings Cross Station, London, 2000

Fat were commissioned to undertake three pieces of public art on and around Kings Cross Station. The pieces were designed to reconsider the contemporary idea of 'public space'. Each piece was a reinterpretation of a traditional element of public space, namely a Clock, a Fountain and an Equestrian Statue. Each offered a commentary on the specific nature of the public space it addressed and its present day use.
