This design proposed a new entrance to London's South Bank for visitors coming from Waterloo station. A variety of new surfaces, signage and lighting were proposed that all celebrated London's rich literary history and transformed an otherwise dark and uninviting tunnel below the railway.
Short fragments of text from well known writers would be cut into the granite pavers. Historical fragments of text would be displayed as neon signs lining the walls as a frieze. Finally a large LED sign would allow passers by to enter their own descriptions of current London life.
